The London Evening Standard is speculating that Saracens are in discussions to play at Regent’s Park, turning it into a temporary 10,000-seat home.
The club broke the mould by staging four matches at Wembley this term and have held meetings with the Royal Parks Agency about using the central London site.
Saracens want to play two games and a Sevens tournament in one of the most famous green areas in Britain next season as part of an ambitious bid to turn a predicted £3million operating loss into a profit in the next three years.

Visitors to Regent’s Park can explore giant tree houses, enjoy storytelling, take part in traditional crafts workshops, participate in debates or just relax in enormous swinging pods, as part of the TreeHouse Gallery project which runs until 6 September 2009.
Located to the north of the boating lake, the project comprises two tree-top structures built from naturally sourced and reclaimed materials – the Spherical Reading Gallery which houses a collection of bark-bound books and the bulb-shaped Budding Hub Gallery, which hosts discussions and workshops.
A collection of ground-based structures, which include the Medicinal Hanging Gardens, the Open Symposium, and Orbitectural structures are situated beneath the tree houses.
The main part of the project that the team is currently working on is to build a timber lift that will allow disabled access to the Budding Hub.
Inspired by the surrounding environment, the Gallery encourages people to take an interest in nature through a free programme of creative activities, with more than 60 workshops and events taking place over the coming weeks.
